Police expanded the search for Marc Anthony Bookal on Wednesday to the shore of the Hudson River but have yet to find the 4-year-old.
Marc was reported missing from his home at 1:20 p.m. on Monday, setting off a massive manhunt. City police with the help of state police and bloodhound trackers from the Westchester Department of Public safety searched the neighborhood surrounding his Benkard Avenuen home.

Police began again at 8 a.m. Wednesday. A state police helicopter hovered overhead as teams of city cops and state troopers combed the wooded railroad trestle and nearby industrial yards.
Newburgh police Chief Eric Paolilli disputed rumors that search teams had recovered Marc's shoes.
Cory Byrd, 30, remained in Orange County Jail on $2,500 bail. Byrd is the live-in boyfriend of Bookal's mother, Christina Bookal. Marc was in Byrd's care on Monday. He initially told police Marc wandered out the front door a couple minutes before him and disappeared.
Police charged Byrd with endangering the welfare of a child for allowing the little boy to wander off. Byrd has since refused to speak with police. Should he post bail, he'll remain in jail because he's being held on a parole violation. He has a criminal record that includes violence against another child.
Marc is described as a light-skinned, black boy who is 3 feet 6 inches tall and 42 pounds with brown hair and eyes. He was last seen wearing a red long sleeve shirt, white Nike sneakers and gray Rockawear sweatpants. Marc has a medium length afro and has discolorations on his hands from a previous burn injury.
Any one with any information on this case is asked to contact the City of Newburgh Police Department. 845-561-3131.
