Holly & Me

Hello;

I have been feeling very unwell and blue (no pun intended...awww heck...pun intended) since Thursday. I went to the Dr to get a refill of my thyroid meds and found out I have CPOD, which is pretty much emphasemia with chronic broncitis. I have been a smoker for 25 yrs and only have myself to blame. Even still, I am beside myself with worry for not only myself but my family as well. I have 2 children, 18 & 20. While they are not babies, I still want to be around for them a lot longer. Also there is my dear Holly, my 21 month old Grand-daughter. I so want to be around to watch her become a young woman. I will be quiting smoking now, maybe it's not too late. I hear & read now that CPOD is no longer a death sentence, but short of an accident or murder, it will be what kills me. Please keep us in your prayers & send positive energy.

Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers...  I am so happy you are going to quit smoking, it just is plain not healthy...  my kids had lung disease and fought so hard to live, I am thrilled you will be quitting.  Hubby quit in 1990 and says it was very difficult, but saved his life.  You can do this and be around for them.
